THE POEM THAT STARTED IT ALL

Aesop's poem about the Rose and the Amaranth says so much in just a few short lines. It asks us to contemplate the question, “Would I rather be the most beautiful of all, admired and envied by everyone only to exist for a brief time, or forgo absolute beauty and admiration to live forever?” The beautiful rose will fade but the amaranth is everlasting. This poem, along with the rest of the story, is immaculately articulated by the talented, Jessica Taige.
